Vanessa is a partner in Baer Law Partners, PLLC, who has been working in the real estate title and settlement industry for over a decade.

A native of Troy, New York, Vanessa received her undergraduate degree in philosophy from Dartmouth College, and her law degree from George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia. She regularly represents clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, and advises on private lending matters.
Vanessa values providing consistent and individualized attention to each new transaction. She personally reviews the title search to each subject property, ensuring thorough representation.

Andrew P. Bigness, Esq.
Andrew, a partner in Baer Law Partners, PLLC, is a transactional real estate and title attorney who routinely represents purchasers, sellers, wholesalers, and lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including transactions involving an assignment of contract. He also practices in the related areas of estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies), corporate formation, and guardianships.
Andrew takes pride in counseling clients in all aspects of a real estate transaction, from the financial and contractual issues involved to reviewing the “chain of title,” which documents the history of a particular property (this can be a “field day” for a history major).
After graduating from Union College and Albany Law School, Andrew served for several years in the legislative/governmental arena before transitioning to private legal practice in 2018. Immediately prior to joining Baer Law Partners, PLLC in 2024, he practiced as an associate with an established local high-volume real estate law firm and became involved in the local Bar. Andrew continues to serve as co-chair of the of the Schenectady County Bar Association’s Real Estate Committee, and also serves on the board of two local not-for-profit organizations.
